Burnham All Stars Moonwalk 2013

Kat and Holly at our 2012 Ball

When:              11th May 2013

Where:            London Moonwalk

Somerset group members Holly and Kat will be joining thousands of other fundraisers for the London Moonwalk this year.

The London Moonwalk is an annual Walk the Walk event where intrepid participants powerwalk a half marathon around the capital in their brassieres, starting at midnight.

The girls would love to raise as much as possible, so if you can spare some money, no matter how small, it will help spur them on as they strut (trudge) their way around the 13+ mile course.

The girls' walk the walk page is here, with the main walk the walk page here

No doubt we'll be posting pics from the event and updating you on how they got on.

Thanks for reading!

UPDATE:       Moonwalk Completed and £400 raised!

Somerset group founder and chair, Christine Piper, is thrilled to announce that Breakthrough Breast Cancer has been chosen as the Brean Golf Club Ladies Captains Charity of the Year for 2013!

To launch the fundraising and awareness, the good folk from Brean Golf Club are holding a Charity Golf Day, so fingers and toes crossed for lovely weather on April 12th!

For more information, including how you can sponsor a hole on the day for only £25, please contact Brean Head PGA Professional Andrew March on 0797 972614.

Here's a link to the club website, along with their page about the golf day, and the club press release below.

"The new Captains at Brean Golf Club, Brian Read and Sheila Rouse, are launching their fundraising for the chosen 2013 charity of Breakthrough Breast Cancer with the annual Captains Charity Day on Friday 12th April.
The format of the day will be teams of 4 playing 18 holes over the testing new layout at the Leisure Park before a superb carvery lunch and charity auction in the Tavern. This day is always popular and well supported by local golfers and businesses and the price for a team entry costs £130 and individual hole sponsorship is just £25 per hole.
If anyone would like to get involved by either competing or sponsoring a hole on the day to help raise funds for this Charity they should contact Brean Head PGA Professional Andrew March on 0797 972614 for more details."
