Long time group friends and supporters Graham and Lisa Clarke are holding a fundraising and awareness day at their wonderful shop much2nice in the Orchard shopping centre, Taunton, when 10% of all sales on the day will be donated to Breakthrough!

If you’re in the area, please pop in and check out all the fab ladies gifts, handbags, jewellery and much much more.

For those that fancy a different way to show their support, members of Taunton Hair Nail and Beauty Training Academy will be on hand to apply Breakthrough themed nails!

Plus there will be hot dogs, coffee and even some choccies from Thorntons.

You may be lucky in the great prize draw, prizes include:

Our Somerset group founders, John and Christine, will be around handing out TLC cards and Julie’s Legacy leaflets, so if you’re nearby please stop and say Hi.

This is a great example of how people can get involved with Breakthrough, and October is of course "GO PINK!" Breast Cancer Awareness month,  when its even easier to make a difference.

Event:       Hooray for Hollywood Christmas Ball

An important part of our annual ball is the auction, where guests can bid on a variety of items, events and experiences that have been kindly donated to our group.

Our final list is still being compiled but here are a few of the lots available this year. Unfortunately bids cannot be placed online, however if you are interested in any of the lots but cannot attend the Ball, then please contact us as we may be able to arrange a proxy bidder or consider a reserve bid.

Hooray For Hollywood

When:              Saturday 8^th December 2012

Where:            Batch Country House, Lympsham, nr Weston-super-Mare

Time:                7.00 pm til 12.30 am

Dress code:     Black tie / evening wear – or come along as your favourite movie star!

After the success of last year’s ball A Night At The Captains Table we are thrilled to be back at the Batch, partying again in style, but this time with a night of Hollywood pizzazz!

A great opportunity to don your glad rags and polish those shoes for a glitzy trip up the red carpet, to celebrate the wonderful world of film and toast stars of the silver screen.

Following a fabulous three course meal, we have the brilliant RiverBrew band to get the party started, along with a disco, charity auction, professional photographer and much much more...

Places are limited, so please get in touch if you fancy joining us for an evening of fun and glamour.

Perfect for a work’s Christmas party!

Tickets are £40 per person, with all proceeds going to Breakthrough, to help work towards a future free from the fear of breast cancer.

Cream of leek and potato soup

Fan of gallia and cantaloupe melon with raspberry coulis

Chicken orange and Cointreau pate served with wholemeal toast, fruit chutney and salad

Main:

Traditional roast turkey with chipolata sausage and stuffing

Fillet of sea bass with a white wine and dill sauce

Roasted vegetable and goats cheese tart

Dessert:

Christmas pudding with brandy sauce

Fresh fruit pavlova with mango coulis

Dark chocolate cheesecake with a white chocolate sauce

Coffee and choc mints

Special dietary requirements can be catered for.
